Hi all,
Is there a way to mimic STRPCO/STRPCCMD from tn5250 on my Linux box? STRPCO runs with no errors or joblog messages, but when I try STRPCCMD I
get an error saying that PCO.EXE is not active. I know about RUNRMTCMD,
and we are reseaching rexec, but I would need to store the user profile
and password on the 400 in order to automate the call, which I hope for
obvious reasons I don't want to do, so I'm just researching
alternatives.
Any ideas?
There is no such thing (PCO.EXE) on linux (thank goodness!). If you really want to run arbitrary commands on linux and initiate them from another machine use rexec. But I'm guessing you don't really want to run arbitrary commands. You probably want to do some specific task when a certain condition is met. There may well be better ways to do that. Can you share specifically what you need to do?
