Can a presentation be made by someone else or can a paper be
submitted without the author(s) being present?

James,

I'm sorry to hear you and Buck will not be able to attend. COMMON sessions
are much like any other user group talk you may have been to, there's just
a bunch of them going on all at once. 1 hour 15 minutes per session on
average (some sessions are double long due to the subject matter) We like
to have the speakers be very knowledgeable about the topic they are
presenting, so anyone that would give the session should be very strong in
the topic. We often times have other speakers present someone else's work,
properly credited of course.

Perhaps if one of the members of the list is able to attend and do the
presentation, the session could be a collaboration of all of you. VPN
access will be available (wireless to the internet) in the session rooms so
if you need a server that is not at COMMON you can get to it.
