As a quickie filler item, I can bring in the SAIR/GNU Linux Cert. books
from O'Reily so people can get a look at them.

Some meeting, I could demo the New Internet Computer (NIC
http://www.thinknic.com) Internet appliance, a Web/email access device
that is based upon Linux. I'd like to get some more [quite legal]
hack-time with the device to better demo some undocumented features such
as how it can be hooked into a home network and run programs from another
Linux system to supplement the constrained set of tools on the NIC. This
type of demo can offset the lack of an outside phone line or Ethernet
connection at the Library. It is a fascinating device that costs $199
minus a monitor.

I recollect a mention of a GIMP (GNU Image Manipulation Program
http://www.gimp.org) Linux demo for a future meeting. I'll be doing a GIMP
for Windows demo at the Princeton PC Users Group in October for those
people still interested in that other operating system.
<grin><wink>
