I don't suppose anyone here has managed to convince linux to not
suspend the laptop when the lid is closed, have you? I used an
(unmaintained) patch with 2.2 - I'm trying to find a better solution
for 2.4, though.
As far as I can tell, apmd looks for various ioctls which it can call
to ignore suspend, etc. However, the kernel doesn't actually seem to
*support* these ioctls...
