Diane Bruce mentioned BSDCan to me on Mastodon[1] unfortunately the event lines up with my annual company all heads meeting at their head office in Coruña, Spain so I wont be able to attend. Looking at their schedule from last year[2] it seems they have some developer focused topics like porting Wayland, BSD kernel work and some kind of hackefest at the start of the event. Seems similar to what I was thinking of, just focused more on BSD and a single annual event instead of something more regular. If I was here June 17th - 20th I would definitely check it out! - [1] https://mastodon.social/@[email protected]/116070206702542005 - [2] https://www.bsdcan.org/2025/timetable/timetable-all.html
