            Using physical memory is recommended as it is faster.

Only when, there is heavy use of physical memory, system will use swap space.

I have RHEL5 server .i have 2gb swap memory and 1gb physical memory. the 
problem is my server is not use  swap memory .it use physical memory.



I use 



sysctl -w vm.swappiness= 100 



but still not use swap .plz tell me how to use swap memory.



I have another CentOS5 machine but it works fine .it use swap memory .
