Hi,

It was installed by RPM (httpd-2.2.13-3).

I habe already tried deleting
rm -rf /var/lock/subsys/httpd
also i had deleted /var/run/httpd.pid But no luck :-(

Now i have changed
PidFile run/httpd/httpd.pid
in httpd.conf file

But it seems httpd.pid file is not getting generated.

Regards,
Ritesh A.
