The complaining and sarcasm is due to frustration and what I perceived to be
non-answers. Both were over-exaggerated by me, I suppose. I have found some
drivers. I'm not sure they are right. Some of them sound right, but every
one has something that I have a question about. I'm not sure how to install
them. There are instructions ranging from confusing to complex to sparse.
It would be nice to be able to just search the device, the version of SuSe
and then install them. I understand, now, that's not how it works. I'll
probably try some of them as time allows and it will work or not. I haven't
had Window's drivers warn me that they could fry my hardware if they aren't
right. Only that it won't work or could trash the OS. This is scary stuff.

I have an image of my Windows system, so I could reinstall that pretty easily
if it goes bad. I don't have another sound card, monitor, or graphics card
as good as the ones I've got, and I really don't want to buy replacements for
brand new hardware just to prove something or learn something.

At least I have gotten a few versions of Linux to install as dual boot.
That's a start. It did detect my USB hard drive and flash drive as well.
That's another good sign. Now I just have to unlearn everything I thought I
knew about computers if I continue in Linux.

I appreciate the tips. I'll muddle on from here. I apologize to all I've
offended. I sincerely thank you all for your help.
