Wait a minute... You paid the company 20 dollars for linux drivers after you've already lashed out god knows how much for their crappy hardware? And what's more, you're also recommending the crappy hardware to other prospective victims? Hell, I'll have to start doing business with you. The orinoco and prism chipsets (it might be the one and the same chipset, I don't remember exactly) are well-supported in linux, I believe you even have the choice between free and proprietary drivers (without having to pay extra for the priviledge to run proprietary crap on your machine).
