Unlike Windows, Linux has many varieties and desktops. The flavor of Linux you're using may not be the same as what I or another member of this group uses, so you'll need to identify it (RedHat, Mandriva, Knoppix, Debian, etc). Likewise, you'll need to tell us about the desktop you're using (Gnome, IceWM, KDE, etc.) so we can figure out what you're seeing and direct you accordingly. Also, the tools and utilities vary depending on installation as well so you'll need to talk a bit about that. Lastly, you don't really describe what you're trying to do. Obviously you want to update an app but what app or the OS in general, but what app? Where are you seeing this? The more descriptive you are of what you're doing/want to do, the better the help members of the group will be able to provide. James ------------------------ Yahoo!
