Well, I won't step-by-step it for you, but I'll give you a general
explanation. Let's start with a diagram:

CABLE MODEM --> LINKSYS ROUTER
                     |
                     |---------- WinXP Box
                     |---------- SUSE Box

First and foremost, I'm going to make the assumption that Cox, like most
other cable providers, simply hands out IPs to clients via DHCP. SO,
configure the Linksys router to use DHCP for GETTING its WAN IP and turn on
DHCP to give your own machines IPs. With most Linksys routers, this is the
default (and the default internal network of 192.168.0.x is equally fine).
Likewise, make sure that your boxes are configured to obtain their IP
automagically (including DNS). This too is the default for these OSes. If
you did not set up Linux with networking, then that's a whole other ball of
wax (you asked for help with the router, so I'm assuming you're ok on the OS
side).

The manual for the Linksys unit has instructions on doing these things; the
CD has the manuals, typically in a PDF format, and that will get you the
full step-by-step and even pictures of the screens you'll be seeing. IIRC,
many of the newer units even come with a wizard that will set all this up
for you -- you'll need to RTFM for that info on your unit.

HTH....
