Hi all
I recently burned fc4 iso's and tried installing it on my system,
First it failed media tests sorted out using linux ide=nodma
Now it gives bad magic cpio header error and refuses to install
Tried burning with different software( only on windows ), used different
media still nothing and also tried typing gibberish in install options
(read that somewhere on internet)
Hardware - Benq dvd writer
P4 emt64 3Ghz
1gig Ram
Seagate barracuda sata drive
DFI motherboard (cant remember model offhand)
I also tried installing suse 9 but it couldn't detect my hdd....anyway
around that
Linux cds are hard to come by where I am, also had my internet
connection cut so all I have is mail at work so I cannot do any
searching
No offence to anyone but I have ubuntu and will install as last resort
(don't really like it all that much)
