Speaking only for myself, I have 32 bit set on my graphics editing
workstation, and also on my print server.

I think it does make a difference... especially when cleaning up
things like the 'lap lines' on pixel at a time, when you join multiple
scans together into a poster-sized print image, that his going to be
printed at a very high dpi number, and then (hopefully) be sold to a
customer.

It might also matter if you are watching DVD movies.

For 'usual stuff', 256 colours will do nicely.<g>

...and on my servers, I don't ever use the graphical capability at
all.
