In *nix, you do not use a hard drive specifier, or a CD- drive specifier, or a floppy disk specifier, like C:, D:, or A: respectively, because all drives must be mounted to an empty directory (like /mnt/floppy), and then it is read as a directory (folder in Windows terminology). In Windows, you would read the floppy at: a:\ In *nix, you would read the floppy (after you mounted it) at: /mnt/floppy Also... *nix does not like white spaces in paths or on file names... they can be made to work, but as a newbie, you would be wise to not use them, so that: /Program Files/Xena Browser/bin ...is better, written... /Program_Files/Xena_Browser/bin Also... *nix is case sensitive, so that: /Program_Files/Xena_Browser/bin ...is not the same as... /program_files/xena_browser/bin -- -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ . http://robertwittig.net/ To unsubscribe from this list, please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] & you will be removed.
