Hi All
I am a newbie. I have a Fedora Core 5 DVD, and a linux bootable CD.
On my PC which is running XP, I have a CD drive, which can't run DVD.
Though on my laptop I do have a DVD drive.
How do I install Fedora code 5 on my PC.
I can boot from the CD.
Then entering : linux askmethod
it asks me to install using:
1. NFS
2. FTP
3. HTTP
4. Hard Disk
If I choose 4 it gives me options:
1. /hda1
2. /hda5
On my hard disk I have 3 partitions - C, D, E - all FAT32
I have a dump and a *.iso image file on D drive
E is empty where I want to install Fedora
How should I proceed with Hard Disk Installation.
Also, which option should I choose if am intalling from my Laptop over a
network.
And how should I proceed with network installation.
