 None of what you list below is an operating system, BTW.  Furthermore, I

 No, but MySQL is.  Not that I think SQL Server is a copy of MySQL.  SQL
 Server's performance sucks way too much to be a copy of something that
 performs that well.

 Here's why: Marketing.  MS has the majority of the world believing that
 their products are the only reasonable products to use.  Their
 customers' ignorance is their sales.

True, Mac Os isn't open source.. but, as of what i know.MS have more then 10% 
of Appel  shares (i.e. MS ows more then 10% of  Apple) and they both have some 
kind of agreement to share the codes mutually and, if am right it will make 
sense how Ms gets code for MacOs look and feel (thats what the yare doing in MS
