I think that your problem is that you do not yet have enough knowledge about the Master Boot Record of a hard drive, and how it is used on the primary hard drive, and what a bootloader, when installed on the MBR (or on a floppy disk, or wherever you actually choose to install it)... actually does. This lack of knowledge (aka ignorance [not the same as stupidity]) is possibly causing you to misinterpret what you are reading, and/or to not be able to recognise the difference in quality, of what people are telling you, from one person to the next. Check out: http://www.kevinboone.com/PF_boot.html ...and whatever other documents a Google search for 'understanding mbr bootloader' brings up. Once you understand the process, you will then have a better handle on your choices, and be better able to interpret what people on-list are telling you. -- -wittig http://www.robertwittig.com/ . http://robertwittig.net/ To unsubscribe from this list, please email [EMAIL PROTECTED] & you will be removed.
