Well, I would also include in your list of distros PCLinuxOS (which is
based on Mandriva, but even more friendlier) and Linspire/Freespire
(that focuses specially on Windows users refugees).
I would counsel you not to go on some less known distros because they
have more restricted audience, so less users that can assist you on
your questions.
