Thanks, DSL works great, finally. Not sure how to get it to run full screen but it is up and running. Wish I had it when my friend gave me an old laptop. I couldn't get anything to work on it because the hard drive was so small, I think DSL would have been perfect. Ended up giving it away. Cygwin was a little too difficult for a newbie, I could only get it to a terminal screen. Mark
