I would recommend checking your hardware setup in Suse. You may need to
change a few things in xserver e.g. the detected video hardware.
Unfortunately I haven't got a Suse virtual machine on me at the moment
but that is where I would start. Check that your display adapter is
detected correctly and also your monitor.

Assuming the resolution is what you want and you've had your eyes
checked recently, I can only imagine that this is a hardware problem.
