I'm confused... is the bit at the bottom part of the question?
Install whichever version of Linux you want to. I use Fedora Core 4 (which is
rather old now). Yes, you can download Fedora.

I'm tempted to ask, why so many partitions? Anyway, why not just resize your
Windows partitions with Partition Magic or something similar, then install
Linux in the free space? Manually partition on the free space and install
Grub on the MBR. Check while you're configuring the boot loader that it is
detecting your Windows installation (it will probably call it 'Other').
I've never installed an older version of Red Hat, so I don't know if it's the
same, but the Fedora installer has a nice little graphical partitioner that
is very easy to use.
Sorry if I haven't helped you much, but I've encountered no problems
dual-booting Windows and Linux on one HD this way. Maybe others will have a
better idea why this isn't working for you.
