Try altering port numbers in eMule, and don't forget to change firewall rules to suit. I'm no great expert with eMule or any other P2P software, but have used MLDonkey, and experienced similar problems. A look through the MLDonkey web site, with particular reference to High/Low ID problems might help you out more.
