Relztrah,
Download Gparted - it's a version of Linux specifically written to do what
you need, it runs from the CD as does Knoppix, has a nice easy GUI and
works perfectly, I have used it several times to set up dual boot
Windows/Linux Pcs.
Personally I would stick to learning just one version of Linux, the subtle
differences between different distro's will confuse you no end. My
preference is Fedora Core 6, it's very 'Windoze like' (dileberate spelling,
NOT a typo!) and provides easy installation of countless free applications,
including a package called WINE that allows you to run almost any Windoze
application without re-compiling, other useful stuff includes OpenOffice -
an almost exact equivalent to Microsoft Office without the £500 price tag,
Firefox - like Internet Explorer but better, and every development
environment under the sun, all free!
Have fun.
Thanks
Andy.
