---- I instead have two words - Puppy Linux!, TMO. As a noob in Linux you'll have the most pleasant experience with it. Try this version: puppy-2.14-seamonkey-fulldrivers.iso I've done the gamut of Linux distros, from RH, Fedora, & Slax, to Kubuntu and FreeBSD. Puppy was the easiest ever: http://www.puppylinux.org/user/downloads.php?cat_id=1 After you get the taste of this distro you'll enjoy switching to others. That's what I like about Linux, a new distro every week. It eliminates boredom. My second best favorite is PCLOS. "PCLOS A Windows Users Delight": <http://reallylinux.com/docs/pclinuxosintro.shtml> As far as Puppy Linux is concerned, it's a better rescue tool, for its size, than Knoppix, though I guess my choice is influenced by the fact that I'm on a DUN connection.
