The Linux apps that run on OS X are either cross platform or compiled or
setup to run on OS X.

Its not as easy as just taking a linux app and running it on a mac.
Microsoft Office for mac could be made to run on linux if it had the
source open someone could port it but its close source

However crossover office can run most Office 2003 apps pretty well but
it costs about $60.
