Hi All, first msg.
Disclosure: not really a linux user atm, never more than a dabbler
anyway.
Subj: Digital Dolly, very useful linux disk cloning program on live
bootable media. Runs like Slax or Puppy, does the clone, then shuts
down. But on my Compaq Evo N610c it doesn't shut down. After TERM and
KILL it reports various processes, the failing ones are:
Unmounting loopback filesystems: umount: /data: device is busy
Detaching loopback device /dev/loop0: ioctl: LOOP_CLR_FD: Device or
resource busy
The final msg is
INIT: no more processes left in this runlevel
After this msg the keyboard does not respond. I can get the CD out
the hard way, but it is not graceful. Before getting to the lock
point, I've tried some basic shell commands, but they didn't work.
Hoping someone will know the right commands.
thanks,
-Gary
