The simplest way is to copy them from Linux. It usually mounts Windows ntfs drives so you will have at least read access. Then it is just a matter of dragging and dropping them from your mounted Windows drive to Linux. Doing it from Windows is a bit trickier since Windows does not see Linux partitions without help from a utility such as ext2fs. A third option is to set up a separate fat32 partition which you can use in both Linux and Windows. This is good if you have a large hard drive or have a usb drive. I keep my pictures and virtual machines on such a partition.
