Thanks guys for your reply!

I've used the live CD version and its all good.  But I am still having
a problem making a connection using my modem.

At first, it asked me some supported modem; since I didn't saw the
name of my own modem I choose what is available and an error just pop
out saying that need to install some package.

I am wondering if somebody has and idea of what I am experiencing,
configuring my Dial-up connection.
