Yes you can use gparted or similar. You will want to delete the Linux partition and then resize your Windows drive to take advantage of the freed space.
You may have a problem with the bootloader, though, since you will no longer be dual booting. It will continue to display the Linux drive until you rewrite the boot loader. The old bootloader will work, but it will show the Linux boot option until you edit it. Your default loader will probably be the deleted Linux drive as well. If you have the XP CD cd run the recovery console and use the command fixmbr That will rewrite the master boot record for XP. This should do the trick.
