Hello all,

I'm having trouble getting my sound card to work on my laptop with any
Linux distro. This is curious, because back when I first thought
about installing Linux I had Ubuntu 6.10, and the sound card worked
fine. The only difference is that back then I couldn't figure out how
to dual boot, and so I installed Linux on the entire hard drive. This
time I installed it on it's own drive and set the laptop up to dual
boot with Vista (the only Windows OS that works well on this laptop).
When I boot to Windows the sound card works fine, but when I boot to
Linux there's no sound, and the utilities that use the sound card give
error messages.

I've been searching the internet for a Linux driver for my laptop
(=Toshiba Satellite A-135-S4407), but can't find one. Any ideas?

Thanks,
~Sean
