I myself have downloaded and installed openSuse 11 with a DVD. I don't 
know why you're having this problem but a couple of solutions come 
to mind. I might suggest a different download method 
instead, such as bit torrent, if you are downloading directly from the Web 
site. Or vice versa. You could also purchase one cheaply from one of the 
sellers listed as distrowatch. Hope that helps
