Well, post how you want, but be prepared to live with the consequences 
(having your posts ignored, by people who don't feel like reading the 
answers before they read the questions).

On this list and the Yahoo 'linux' list (basically the same 
listmembers) interleaved (aka 'in-line) posting, and trimming off 
unnecessary text are the posting protocol of choice for most of the 
log time (knowledgeable) members.

There are a few notable exceptions... experienced Linux geeks who 
prefer to top-post... but they are granted 'special dispensation' 
because of their guru status.

You might want to consider reading the 'One to Many' section of

RFC 1855: http://www.rfc-archive.org/getrfc.php?rfc=1855

...which says (among other thing):

"- Read both mailing lists and newsgroups for one to two months before
       you post anything.  This helps you to get an understanding of
       the culture of the group."

...and which suggests in general, that in 'one to many' 
communications, the 'many' should take precedence over the 'one', or, 
in other words, 'When in Rome, do as the Romans'.
