That depends. The kernel got a LOT better about interrupts from 2.2 ->
2.4. The result is the BIOS has to do more for older kernels. I think we
want these improvements, and in the long term linuxbios can do less and
that is a good thing. I don't think this is a flaw, it is a measure of how
much better the linux kernel is getting in this area.

as for 2.4.3, I am surprised you have trouble, but I suppose it is another
variation of the IRQ setup problem that is special to STPC.
