Hello,
I am interested in using LinuxBIOS on an Amptron M599LMR motherboard
(which has a SiS530 chipset). I've been informed that the SiS540 stuff
already in the tree should work on this chipset with very little
modification. Now I just need to figure out how to get a LinuxBIOS image.
I worked through the HOWTO/SiS630 file as far as I could, but I ended up
with a few problems:
1. I'm looking at using a 4 megabit EEPROM for booting LinuxBIOS and the
kernel from, and even just the stripped, gzip compressed kernel is
coming in over the total amount of space I have available.
2. I have an EEPROM burner and would like to use that to burn the
image if possible, instead of messing about with removing ROMs and
sticking in DoCs and whatnot.
If anyone could help me figure out ways around these, I'd be extremely
appreciative.
Thanks.
