Okay, I have a bunch of questions. What is the likelyhood of Linuxbios working on a
SiS530 as opposed to SiS630? I'm assuming poor but hoping good. Has anyone had any
post-installation problems (i.e. computer working for a while then becoming
paperweight)? Would it be possible to write a ROM image to disk and burn it elsewhere
on a different operating system, then safely install it back here on my computer? And
what about hardware support? I stumbled across your webpage trying to find a way to
upgrade my BIOS so I could get my USB ports to work. I have a engineer friend that
would be willing to cover the hardware end, I just want to know that everything is
more likely to work then not, and that it's within my means.
Well, between installing UDF support, reading up on Award BIOS, and the ever
wonderful LinuxBios, the sun has come up. Get back to me when you have time, just
please don't through this out with the trash.
