There is already some code in the tree.  And SiS employes Ollie Lho to
work on linuxBIOS.

As a recovery method that is possible but you almost certainly also want a backup
rom chip as well if you are deploying linuxBIOS yourself.  Accidents happen.

Generally the assumption is the linux kernel can do the setup for most
devices.  linuxBIOS does do some initial low level setup, but I'm not
certain if it is what you need.

LinuxBIOS isn't yet a drop in solution but we are getting closer every
day.
