Has anyone taken a look at the HURD? I read about it in the Debian weekly news all the time. It's starting to get close to becoming a Debian distribution offering. (Unstable of course) Its macro-kernel based so it might shrink much better than Linux. As a general purpose OS its still too unstable but it might work as a glorified bootloader. -- Richard A.
