I am not familiar with the vhost package but am very interested in what you
describe. I host a lot of domains and websites and currently use chrooted
ftp accounts for those users and do not allow telnet. I have manually
configured wu-ftpd to do this and change /etc/passwd by hand for these
users. I would be glad to manage this feature through linuxconf if possible.
I will look for docs on the vhost package.
So I would opt to not throw away that feature if you have it, only to make
the home directories an option.
