What do you get if you run remadmin without argument
remadmin<enter>
Are you getting the same problem. remadmin on redhat 5.1 is using
gnome-linuxconf, thus, gnome and gtk libs. Maybe there is a problem there.
Can you run other gnome tool on that machine.
What happen if you pre-create the .gnome directory before starting
linuxconf ? (no clue what should be there though)

This linux thing is spreading, spreading. What is an A3000 btw (beside
being an amiga): A 68k or a powerPC ?
