I agree that some of the responsibility is split up.

Our LUG is planning on renting an auditorium and conference room at the local
public library and have presentations about Linux and also demonstrations in the
conference room with some local businesses that either support or use Linux.
Kind of like a mini-expo for just our area.

But I would happily give away the presentations for others to use if they would
like.  Not sure which app I am going to use yet, probably Applixware.  Although
the new StarOffice seems to be more feature rich.

I was wondering if anyone thought that Linus and maybe RMS would like to
contribute a letter to all attendees of the conference as sort of a welcoming
thing.

Currently we are planning on showing 3 or 4 distributions, Red Hat, Caldera,
Debian, and TurboLinux.  But with different applications running.  Showing
multiple desktops and window managers running things like Gimp, and possibly a
small (4 node) Beowulf cluster just for demonstration that it is possible.
