Hello Brent,

<<<
...If you went to a demo of a given operating system
and saw someone showing off a file-manager and a text
editor, would you get excited?
>>>
Ok, this is just an example of what we do in our
installfest.
Of course, I hope to show something more !

We will also have probably a 486 and a 386 like you,
to show what can be done.

Gimp, Samba, VNC, Applix, Wp8, Netscape etc. should
also be part of our list.

<<<
...Not every site has to be the same...
>>>
I totaly agree, the goal of a suggested list is to
help. Nothing should be required.

Let say, At the event, someone ask me about a
financial software.
I am glad to see that a soft called "gnucash" exist.
Prior to reading the suggested list I just did not
know.
But I now some CAD prg, or pcb layout prg, like
"spice", "spicecad" exist.
It could be helpfull for another lug member doing a
demo somewhere in the world, to know that.

- Which Day ?
To rent a room, we need to provide a day, month,
year...
To reserve it.

     Eugene
