Sometime on May 21, kishor bhagwat assembled some asciibets to say:

I have never done this, but I think that you can change the disk
cylinders/heads/sectors using fdisk.

If formatting is your only option, then I suggest that you try this first.
If it fails you'll have to format anyway.  If you succeed, you can tell us
what you did and we will all benefit.
