Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

ok try one the following command :

touch /tmp/mysql.sock

and then try to start mysqld deamon

after trying to run mysqld the following error was reported.

Cant Start server : Bind on UNIX socket: Permission denied
 Do you already have mysqld server running on socket /tmp/mysql.sock ?
 Aborting.
