Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)

 it says as /dev/cdrom is not a valid Block. Is this the problem of hardware
and if so how can i resolve it. The cheapbyte Redhat works fine for Creative
CD-Drive, as with me.


If u installed RH from the same drive..it means theres no compatibility
problem, isnt it?
Most likely, ur giving the wrong device, i.e /dev/cdrom is linked to the
wrong /dev/hd* ...chk where the CDROM driver is..as primary slave, or
secondary master...
