Pal , what is the distro that u r usin?
Assumin it's RH , 'cause this prob is most likely in RH if ya have tried
configuring the PPP0 interface through LINUXCONF.
Browse through the sections in LINUXCONF & u'll find out the section
where u have created the PPP0 link. I don't remember the exact section where ya
will find it in cause it's been sometime since i used LINUXCONF myself.
Just disable the option of enabling this PPP0 interface at boot time.
