Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
Sometime Today, Amol Gokhale assembled some asciibets to say:
> sendmail through Linuxconf. Based on that I configured pine to send mail.
> Now when I try to sendmail pine tells me smtp server not found. Any ideas.
Why is pine trying to connect to the smtp server? You have probably set
the smtp-server option in the pine configuration. This should not be set
because pine will use sendmail -bs to send mail without relying on smtp
being available or not.
If you have other problems with pine/sendmail, ask here. I've done
extensive study on their marriage.
