Mail from ILUG-BOM list (Non-Digest Mode)
Dear Linuxers,
This is my first mail to the group. I am running
sendmail-8.8.7 as the mailing solution for my compnay
on a Linux Mandrake 6.1 box. This server is connecting
to another server which is acting as the main mail
server since it has the leased line connectivity. At
both servers we are using the same domain therefore
even if a mail is sent by a local user on my server to
another local user, the mail goes to the main server
from where it comes back.
This solution is working fine except for one problem.
In my mail queue any message which is approx. of size
greater than 100 kb gets stuck and it does not go to
the main server. In the mail queue after trying for
sometime it is displaying 'I/O error'. This size keeps
on varying and there has been times when mails of 400
kb had also passed through therefore it is not a
setting on the server. I have even changed the
hardware thinking it is a hardware problem but no
change.
