I had installed RedHat Linux 6.2. on my P-200 MMX with S3 Trio64V2/DX display card.
Everything worked fine except the display adapter. When I tried S3's Xserver, i got
error saying

" SigmaDesigns RealMagic64/GX (SD6425) Chip detected.This chip is not a product of S3
Inc, and it is not compatible with XFree86 S3 drivers. We understand that some video
cards are being sold with these chips relabeled as S3 Inc. chips, including S3's logo.
They are not S3 chips."

I am surprised as the same card works fine with S3 Trio drivers under windows95/98. I
had to make it generic and hence use only 16 colours which doesn't allow me to explore
full strength of linux applications like staroffice, netscape, etc.

I had been searching linux drivers for this card for a long time. during this search
recently i had found a "c" program code for this chipset but i think its incomplete
and being a newbe to C i can't use it. Can anybody help me?
