   Assuming it's an ISA device philip, u can try a
  trevor# isapnp
       This will give ya chipset , IRQ, i/o & various other details
regarding the Chipset of ya card. 

      If it's a PCI then u may try
 trevor# lspci
    or
trevor#scanpci
     If nothing works than as for most ISA cards u will hav to open up
the box & check out the Jumper settings for the IRQ & other chipset
details.
