Dear all,
I had installed RHL 6.2 in a loopback file system on my DOS formatted
disk.So everytime for booting into Linux I had to use a floppy disk.So I
removed the files from my disk (as it was just deleting the IMG files which
Linux creates).
I tried to install RHL 6.1(because that is what I had with me) again on a
Linux native partition and I chose to write LILO on MBR, but when i
restarted the PC I did not get a LILO prompt.Then I tried Loadlin(of course
after reinstall and writing LILO on first sector of linix partition) but it
also did not work.So I removed Non DOS partitions using fdisk( I do not know
whether it was a right step or not ! ).
I will try to install RHL 6.2 today.Will I be able to load it since the
partitions which I deleted are not coming into picture at all.Also I will
need your help in how to configure Loadlin/LILO, step by step.
